Wiscoy Valley

Remember
that night in the echinacea fields
we plunged the curvature of the land-
cephalic, ready to wash in.

Burning at the crowning moment
before the blood's warm calm flow
replaces the tidal.

Eddies of summer air brushing skin.
Moonlit consonance of our bodies.
The heavy dew soaking our garments.
